Westford lost to Newton South 65-57. Brian Schmidtberg, Colin McLaughlin, and Peter Lynch each had 11 points in the loss.

WA 52 BL 44

WA snapped its losing streak with a 52-44 road victory against Boston Latin. Peter Lynch had 11 points (10 Rebounds), while Rob DeMagistris added 10 points. Brian Schmidtberg had a season high 16 Rebounds while adding 4 blocks.

OT Loss to Weston

WA lost to Weston 67-66 in overtime.
Peter Lynch had 18 points(11 Rebounds) while Alex Haines (17 points, 12 Rebounds), Rob DeMagistris (15 points), and Brian Schmidtberg (14 points, 9 Rebounds) had solid games.

Schmidtberg Selected DCL All-Star

Brian Schmidtberg was slected as a 2nd team DCL All-Star by a vote of the league coaches. Brian will have an opportunity to play in the DCL All-Star game being held Saturday, February 18, 7:30pm, at Concord-Carlisle High School.Good Job Brian!

CC 47 WA 42

WA lost to Concord Carlisle 47-42. Concord finished the season at 11-9 while Westford drops to 6-13. Brian Schmidtberg led Westford scorers with 18 points while Peter Lynch added 7 points. Alex Haines was high rebounder with 11. The Ghosts conclude the season, at home, against Bedford Friday night (Senior night).

EVENING OF BASKETBALL

The 29th "Evening of Basketball" will be held on Friday, March 10, 2006 in the WA main gym. The event begins in the afternoon with a three-point and free throw contst (finals at night) and then a number of games will follow: Westford Recreational All-Star teams against both WA girls and boys freshmen and jv teams.The evening will conclude with a faculty vs. faculty game and an alumni vs. WA varsity contest. Admission for all events is $3.00.
