LS TOPS WA
LS (2-0, 3-0) defeated WA (0-1, 0-1)in their home opener, 61-49. The Ghost led by two at the half, but LS outscored Westford 31-17 in the 2nd half for the victory. Brian Schmidtberg and Peter Lynch each had 10 points for WA. The Ghosts next play at Wayland tomorrow in the make-up contest.WA Defeats Wayland
After trailing Wayland (1-1) 22-18 at halftime, Westford (1-1) played a great 2nd half for a 59-35 road victory. Brian Schmidtberg led all scorers with 17 points (6 Rebounds, 4 Blocks) while Pete Lynch (9 points), Colin Cusano (8 points) and Kellen Regan (8 points)played solid games.WA Tops AB
Westford 62 Acton-Boxboro 48WA won it's 2nd road game of the week at AB, 62-48. Alex Haines flirted with a triple double, adding 13 rebounds and 6 blocked shots to his game-high 23 points for the visiting Grey Ghosts (2-1).
Sophomore forward Peter Lynch contributed 13 points, 7 boards and Collin Cusano had 12 points, 6 caroms for WA.
The Team prepares for the Lowell Holiday Tournament and faces powerhouse West Roxbury on 12.26, 3:00pm, at Lowell High School.

West Roxbury 56-WA 53
West Roxbury (3-0) pulled ahead in the last five minutes for a 56-53 victory in the first round of the Lowell Holiday Tournament. Peter Lynch led all scores with 19 points, while Brian Schmidtberg added 15 and Alex Haines contributed 11. The Ghosts (2-2) lost the "battle of the paint" and West Roxbury made some keys shots for the victory.WA plays Billerica at 4:45pm at Westford Academy in 2nd round tournament action.

WA (3-2) defeated Billerica High School, 74-55 in the 2nd Round Action of the Lowell Holiday Tournament.Sophomore Alex Haines led all scores with 20 points (6 rebounds and 4 blocks)while sophomore Peter Lynch added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Senior Captain Brian Schmidtberg contributed with 13 points and 3 blocks. Bench play was strong with Colin Cusano (9 points and 8 rebounds)and Marc Napolitana (6 points).
WA plays a strong Londonderry, NH team Friday in 3rd round action at Billerica HS at 4:45pm.
