NS defeated WA tonight, 54-53 in Newton. The Ghosts had an opportunity to win, but both last second shots fell short. Senior Collin Cusano led all Westford scorers with 13 points while Sophomore's Peter Lynch and Alex Haines each added 11.BL over WA
WA (9-8) was defeated by first place Boston Latin (14-3), 49-45.Down 33-22 at half, WA played a better 2nd half, closed the gap to within two with 30 seconds left, but didn't convert on two opportunties.
Sophomore Alex Haines was the only Westford player in doubles, with 17 points (7 Rebounds).
WA needs one more win (three games left) to secure a tournament bid.

WA defeated Weston 68-55 to qualify for Division II North Tournament Play.Alex Haines led Westford scorers with 16 points (Rebounds and 7 Blocks) while Collin Cusano and Brian Schmidtberg each added 14.

DCL ALL-STARS
Westford Academy will have three players participating in the 2007 DCL All-Star game. Senior Captain Brian Schmidtberg and Sophomore Alex Haines were selected as 1st team representatives while Sophomore Peter Lynch was a 2nd team selection. Congrats to all three players! Concord won a share of the 2006-07 DCL title (with Boston Latin) with a strong 60-37 win over WA. Alex Haines was Westford's high scorer with 13 points. Both Bostin Latin and CC finished league play at 13-3 while Westford (10-9)ends DCL action against Bedford (2.16.07).WA JV in Overtime!

Bedford Over WA
WA was defeated 67-48 by Bedford in its last regular season game. Peter Lynch had 18 points while Brian Schnudtberg added 14 and Alex Haines contributed with 10. WA finishes at 10-10 and qualifies in the Division II North tournament. Seeding information will be available on February 22, 2007.2007 DCL All-Star Game at WA!

WA at Woburn
In a rematch of two years ago (Woburn OT victory), WA will travel to Woburn for 1st round tournament action on Tuesday, February 27th. The game time is set for 7:30pm.First Round Tournament Action
WA was defeated by Woburn in first round tournament action, 61-42. Woburn (16-5) led at half by 3 and slowly increased the 2nd half lead. Alex Haines led Westford scorers with 12 points while Brian Schmidtberg added 10 (9 Rebounds).
