WA Defeats CC

WA defeated CC in its season opener 48-44. Peter Lynch led all Westford scorers with 14 points while Alex Haines added 11 points. Colin Royal had a key rebound with 6.7 seconds left in the game, was fouled, and hit two free throws to "ice" the back-and-forth contest.

WA OVER LS

WA defeated LS 56-47 to improve to 2-0 in this young season. Peter Lynch and TJ Jann both had 14 points while Colin Royal and Alex Haines added 8. Alex Haines had a strong night rebounding (10) with several keys boards at crunch time.

WA Stays Perfect

WA (3-0) defeated Newton South 68-65 in an early season battle. Sophomore TJ Jann had a great night leading all scorers with 21 points (10 rebounds) while Juniors Alex Haines (16 points and 13 Rebounds) and Peter Lynch (16 points and 7 rebounds) certainly helped the cause. Rob Moran's FT with seconds left sealed the victory.
The Ghosts host new DCL rival Tyngsboro on Friday night.

Westford Over Tyngsboro

WA improved its record to 4-0 with a 74-46 win over visiting Tyngsboro. Peter Lynch (20 points and 7 rebounds), Alex Haines (17 points and 5 Rebounds, and TJ Jann (12 points) had solid games. Marc Napolitana had 7 points and 7 assists. A strong bench effort contributed to the win.

The Ghosts play in the Lowell Holiday Tournament (hosted by WA)on December 27, 2007 @ 7:45 against undefeated Chelmsford High School. All 4 teams in the tournament bring in undefeated records (WA, Chelmsford, Dracut, and Lowell).

WA Over CHS


WA defeated Chelmsford, 68-60, in opening round action of the Greater Lowell Holiday Tournament. TJ Jann led WA scores with 15 points while Colin Royal (12), Alex Haines (13), and Peter Lynch (13)created a balanced offensive attack. Marc Napolitana had 9 points and a solid game at point. WA plays a talented Lowell High School team tonight (12.28.07) in the Tournament finals. The game is scheduled for a 7:45 start at Westford Academy.




Lowell Defeats WA in Tournament Final

Lowell went out quick, 21-4 and really never looked back. Peter Lynch led WA scorers with 14 points and 7 Rebounds while Alex Haines added 11 points and 7 boards. Marc Napolitana added 8 points with 4 assists. Peter Lynch was named to the Tournament All-Star team. WA heads back to league play with a game against Wayland on January 2, 2007.
