2025 Summer Sizzler Clinic

Westford Academy Boys' Basketball Head Coach Chris Bramanti, and members of the Westford Academy Boys' Basketball program will host three weeks of clinics this summer. The SUMMER SIZZLER CLINIC will be two hour per day at either Westford Academy or Stony Brook Middle School. Your son can attend one, two, or all three weeks of our clinic.
We will use fun ways to teach players specific skills and drills to learn the game of basketball or improve upon individual shooting skills. This program is designed for boys CURRENTLY in grades 1-8 who wish to have fun learning the game of basketball and/or begin training for summer and fall leagues through a series of competitive and challenging drills. These drills will enhance individual and team skills. Special drills for conditioning, ball handling, and shooting will be demonstrated and rehearsed throughout this clinic.

Westford’s 4-on-4 Summer League was founded in 1993 by legendary Westford Academy Boys Varsity Coach Ed Scollan to help foster and develop individual skills. Currently, this program is run by Westford Varsity Boys’ Head Coach Christopher Bramanti with the help of local high school students.

The premise of the league is that with only four players on the court at a time, each player will be more involved and active in the game. Each player will learn more individual basketball moves, will learn to move without the ball, cut, set screens, shoot, rebound, and play individual and team defense – all without having to worry about following additional instructions from a coach. Games are refereed by local high school students, which allows these local youths in the area to give back to the community.

No parents, adults, or older siblings are allowed to coach or sit/stand by the team bench. The players coach themselves. Through this, they learn to truly be a part of a team, make basketball decisions as a group, take responsibility for their play and their teammates’ play, and learn how to make mistakes and recover from them as individuals and as a team.
